Im only trying to open the lurker's eyes to those facts, that's all.

I would also say that the old Papyrus game engine couldn't model a
successful *** Rally racing simulator.  Same goes for the Ubisoft game
engine.

Still it's getting rehashed again and again - for more than 3 years
and still counting. For some reason you never posted anything even
remotely as paranoid as you do regularly when it comes to Ubisofts 2
titles...;)

That's your opinion, not a fact. GP2 does not even know how to flip a
car and the excessive amount of grip and thus cornering speed is just
ridiculous and far from reality.

Actually the POD engine *can* do banking, unfortunately it's just not
used for the tracks. But so does GP2. Ever tried to create a banking
with the track editor? Watch what the cars do...

Yep. But that can be changed just as easily.

Blue Flag behaviour is poorly done, that's true. Other than that I
don't see any flaws with it. Just sit back and watch a race in tv
mode, it looks pretty life like (whether thats a good thing is another
story).

Again, just an opinion. GP2 may be easier to drive due to higher grip
level - MGPRS on the other hand needs more practice and skill.

Definately not true. There's neither a scenario mode nor ghosts nor
career mode etc... AFAIK not even an effective penalty system. MGPRS2
easily excels GP2 when it comes to gameplay options.

That's just natural when a game runs for years without any real
competition. As to the replay sound in MGPRS I agree that's really a
shame. Not that it bothers me that much though, I usually have replay
disabled anyway due to gamespeed reasons. ;)

Well I know some people at Papyrus that would say the opposite about my
posts, since I was pretty against Nascar 3 on the T.g.s.n. newsgroup until I
got more information about that title from a great person down there.  I
know N3 is different, at least they made the effort.  Don't ever compare the
Ubi game engine to the old Papyrus game engine.  I just said a fact that the
current Ubisoft game engine can't create a successful Game engine.  I feel
it's true, the same as it couldn't for the old Papy game engine.  But at
least Papyrus creates good software out of that game engine.

Nascar 3 is enhanced in about every aspect of the game.  It's the second
best racing sim on the market after GPL.  Everything is better, sure it's
not the GPL engine, but it's not N2.5.  Sound, gameplay, physics, graphics,
AI, multiplayer   ;-)

You will see ! ;)

I think Tel's point, Francois, is that anyone who's been around here more
than four or five months knows in considerable detail about your opinions on
Ubi-Soft.  They may be well-grounded, but ...

the horse is very, very dead.  You really could stop *** it anytime.

;-)

: Let me get this straight.  You're basing your opinion of a game on the size
: of the car's tailpipe??  You should at least try a demo (not beta or alpha)
: before you criticize a game IMO.  Even though the game may suck, I still
: think that you should give it a chance.

Hmm... is it worth commenting?  Well, let me put it this way...

"WHIZZZZZZZZZ"

that's the sound of a joke going over your head.  Everyone's criticising
GP3 based on 4 screenshots.  My post was tongue in cheek.  Get it?
