I currently run NASCAR racing on my GW2K 486 DX266, and wish I
had better performance.  If I were to buy a pentium 133 would 2mb dram
video be enough or should I get 4mb vram?  Will a pentium 133 satisfy me?
Anyone who has experience with a hardware upgrade, please reply.  Also
is it worth it to but the Formula T2 wheel.  I'm using a joypad now.

A dedicated (pronounced,"***ed") NASCAR fan.

Absolutely. ICR2 in SVGA on a P133 ran FANTASTICALLY well IMO. The
difference between 2Mb and 4Mb video memory is greater colour depth at
higher resolutions. Work it out: 1024x768x16million etc. Since games
run at 640x480, with some going higher, you do not need any more
memory. 2Mb will get you 1024x768x64kcolours. Show me a game that runs
well at that resolution! 4Mb will get you 1280x1024xhuge-colours.
You'll need a good monitor to handle these colour depths/resolutions
at reasonable refresh rates (>75Hz). VRAM vs DRAM? VRAM is faster at
higher resolutions/colour depths.

Absolutely definitely. Do not skimp on the controller after purchasing
a PC like that above.

Why do some silly folk say you can't do so with their messages?

Ahh well, I skimmed the message a bit too much then, didn't I!

Anyway, I've only tried ICR2 on a P133. Haven't touched Nascar much
since ICR2 arrived (except to drive at Laguna Seca!).

I agree. As someone once put it here: "I like to see my fans!" I like
that.
