Looking for joy stick switch box. Only found one (CH products). Will
this CH product switch between TM f16/tqs/rcs and TM nascar pro racing
wheel? Are there any other places to look for a similar device?

Also is comp.sys.ibm.pc.games.flight-sim NG broke? Havent gotten any new
posts for several days. Reply to either this NG or email

Appreciate any help.

It might work, but the thing you'll need to keep in mind when dealing
with a Thrustmaster FLCS is that it must always receive power or you'll
get keyboard errors. Not all joystick switchers know to keep power to
the FLCS, so you'll need to ask CH if theirs does.

Havent been able to check on power to stick function on CH Products
Joyswitch but have found a Lead Pursuit product Joyswitch Multiport
which indicates that it supplys one powered port which may be used for
WCS Mark II.  Guess Ill have to wait for reply from CH Products.

Thanks for response.

Check www.joyswitch.com for a real joystick switcher. I have one
and use it to switch between my F-22 Pro/TQS/RCS and T2,
no problem. Of course I believe most of the FF wheels will not
work with this unit. So you may need to get a wheel that connects
to the serial port.

I tried a J-Link turbo "Quickshot" Model QS-5845
because it appeared to have MIDI support.
Unfortunately I wasn't able to get it to work with the
MS FF Wheel FF effects.
Your mileage might vary...

And with the "Joyswitch" (an older one though),
I found a bit of experimentation and reference to the
excellant www.joyswitch.com webpage was required to figure
out a setting that would work with my CH Pro throttle/Combatstick
TM RCS setup, and a TM Formula 2 wheel & pedals on the other.
In the aircraft setups, all the gear wasn't getting powered sufficiently.
I ended up with the throttle and stick on circuit 1, and the
pedals on a separate pedal circuit. The driving wheel and
pedals worked OK on the same circuit (no adapter).

I use an Alpha Data  Alpha Quad 4 way auto switch with a TM F22- F16 TQS and
pedals, a wheel and a standard joystick with no probs at all.

Highly recommended and only about 20

I've had mine for 2 years with no problems at all.

I forgot to answer this part... No the flightsim NG is alive & well. Perhaps
your
ISP is having NG problems?

It works well for me, the Quickshot and the MS FF wheel--as long as
nothing else is attached to the other ports.  Very fussy.  I don't
think it's really that great.

Won't guarantee it'll work with the TM gear, but my Suncom HOTAS setup (also
has a keyboard passthrough) works fine with the CH switchbox, and always has
power to it even when it's not the selected stick.  Not sure if it has all 4
ports powered all the time, but I know the #1 port is.

This thing is GREAT, especially when using the included utility to switch
between the various joystick setups in Win 95/98.  This utility sits in your
system tray, and lets you switch between all your different setups on the
fly with a few mouse-clicks. So you switch from your flightsim setup to your
driving wheel simply by pressing a button on the wheel, right clicking on
the utility icon and selecting the wheel's saved calibration from the menu.

I have my flightsim setup, a NASCAR Pro, AND a Gravis Gamepad Pro all hooked
in (Rennaisance gamer here <g>) - and this device is invaluable.  Well worth
the $25, IMHO.
