Well, me buckos, I've been away from RMS for quite some time (no, not
prison....). Am I to understand that:

A. The West brothers have STILL not laid their golden egg?

B. There are essentially no new sims since NASCAR Heat?

What in the wide, wide world of sports is a-goin' on here?

Papy released NASCAR Racing Season 2002 in February. There is a big
difference between N4 and N2002, particularly in tyre management. The car
handling feels a lot better too. IMO N2002 is currently the best sim
available.

EA released F1 2002 which is the best modern F1 sim available. There are
also a number of mods available for F1 2002,. See http://www.simmods.com for
more details. GP4 was also released but you don't want to go there.

Live for Speed has been released as an early beta. You can read more at
http://ww.liveforspeed.net

Thanks to all for the answers. So WSC, as gorgeous-looking as it was
(screenshots, anyway), is Tango Uniform? Pity.

WSC was the West Bros./Empire concern

After much legal wrangling -it was culled

West Racing are now doing Racing Legends.

Many in this newsgroup will tell you it's

a) A hoax
b) A pipe dream
c) Never going to see the light of day
d) A money laundering scam
e) A flavour of soup.

Facts are - two guys are trying to make the racing sim this NG's always
asked for - and no one else is going to make.

Hey Doug, at least you are finally admitting that there is no such thing.
:-)         Hell, I'm trying to become the best sim racer there ever was,
but I seriously doubt that's going to happen...

Nice to see that you still remember how to get online, we've heard from
Bruce K in the not too distant past, hell even Byron Forbes dropped in
on us a couple of months ago, with a bit of luck you guys will drop in
at approximately the same time and we can get some decent discussions
going on, you can handle the grammar and spelling, Byron can be in
charge of the verbal abuse and Bruce can be in charge of the sheep dip
