Well, if you are looking for eye candy, go for Indycar or Nascar.
Yes, in the sound fx and graphics department, but not on the gameplay
department. World Circuit is much more fun to play with, since its
difficulty level can be easily configured from extremely easy to
somewhat competent (it _is_ too easy without the editors, which enhance
the computer controlled car performance). Indycar Racing has a rather
steep learning curve and quite frankly I didn't bother learning it.
No.
Because it has LOTS OF EXCELLENT GAMEPLAY.
I am constantly amazed by people who judge a game from what it looks
like...look at Slicks; it looks AWFUL, but it plays just wonderful.
Anyway, since you seem to be a person who wants his games to be SVGA,
require 10000000000000Mb to run, take 100Gb hard disk space, require
a Pentium 1000000000Mhz and require a 100Mb video card, why don't
you go for Nascar Racing, or the upcoming Indycar Racing II.
World Circuit II is also expected to be released this autumn, look
at the screenshots at http://www.racesimcentral.net/(the pics are somewhere
there). None of the screenshots show a***pit view though, so I'm not
sure if the screenshots are from actual gameplay.
