Steve,

Did you use the in-game controller configuration? When I tried
that it wiped at the steering axis as well. I created a new
player profile and avoided the in-game controller config for the
steering axis this time around, now everything works fine.

F1200 help with steering

Just got F1 2000 and for some reason I can not get the game to
recognize teh steering axis on my Logitech USB (non-FF) wheel.  It
will recognize all of the buttons, the gas and brake pedl, but not the
left or right turning of the wheel.

Windows Controller panel sees the steering axis fine, and of course
wheel works perfectly with other games.

Help!!  Am I missing something, I will admit I am not the brightest
when it comes to diagnosing computer problems.

FYI, wheel is set to split axis in the Windows crontroller panel.  I
installed the 1.09 patch.  WIN98SE with DX7a.  Thanks in advance!

I managed to configure it by turning my wheel completely to the
left, just before you configure what key you like to use to turn right,
then when it asks for what axis you would like to use, turn the wheel
completely to the right...
Then do the opposite for left :)

Anders.

I agree that the controller configuration SUCKS...  Once you try something that
doesn't work, you can't get back to 'defaults'.  Try holding down the offending
control while you select a test day.  Keep the control down until you actually
get on the track.  Then, back out the the configuration menu.  You may be able
to then configure it correctly.  After that, you also *may* have to hold that
controller down everytime you select a race 'event'...  I have to do that,
otherwise the game doesn't recognise my brake pedal... :(
