I'm having similar problems with my rendition card.. I don't have the
2,000.00 "suped" up version.. I paid $ 139.99 for mine.

I'm going to try the regular nascar2.exe and see what happens....

Thank You

Well, It seemed fast enough with the rendition on my P133, but I was MAJORLY
dissapointed with the appearance after seeing the Rendition version of Indycar
II.  Not only are the tracks not done in 16 bit color, but it doesn't even
seem to support anti-aliasing.  It also doesn't seem to have the cool mirror
effects, etc.  Overall it seems like a good sim, but I'm sorely dissapointed
with the poorly implimented rendition support!

It seems like certain motherboard/BIOS combinations don't work properly
with ICR2, N2 and Quake unless you run DMADIAG first. I haven't yet got an
explanation, but you can pick up a copy of DMADIAG at the Late Night
website (see URL below).

I don't seem to be expierencing the same problems you are. The
graphics meet or exceed ICR2. Anti Aliasing and all. I ran
RENDDMA.BAT and everything worked great from the beginning.

Read the readme.txt it says the screen will look better if you have MORE
than 16 megs of ram

Ditto.  ICRII screams with my Reactor, and looks excellent, where Nascar
moves ok, and the graphics are decent.  What gives guys?  P120/24
megs/Reactor card .

I don't have the 2,000.00 suped up version(there isn't one), but I
haven't seen one for less than $150. Which one do you have?

Sounds like I'll need an additional 8 megs of ram to get the
full effect out of the Rendition Board.
Question: Is this for all Rendition Ready games, or just Nascar2?
If it's for all games, is it stated on the Reactor homepage?

Well, it doesn't support Anti-Aliasing, but I hear they are working on
a patch for it.

Actually, I was a bit hasty in my original post.  I still don't think
it looks as good as ICR2, but it's still a damn site better than the
standard SVGA version.  Once they add in the anti-aliasing, it should
look pretty hot.

I'm told you need >16MB of RAM to use the higher res textures.  With
high res textures, Sears Point is awe-inspiring.

The amount of RAM required is going to vary by the game. However, any game
that has been optimized to take advantage of 3D acceleration by increasing
the graphic complexity is bound to take up more room than the less complex
VGA/SVGA version.

It sure is. Ran a Hawaii race there last night (N1) and thought I was
racing in the desert foothills. I am really looking forward to the day when
we can race N2/Rendition online.
