        Because of the deadzone problem in F1 2001, I'm using DXTweak
to correct it.  Does using DXTweak affect/screw-up the
deadzones/sensitivity of other racing games like GPL, NFS or Viper
Racing?

I was also wondering if these are optimal settings.  I have the Act
Labs Performance Pedals and have the following settings:

Z = 0, 256, 512
R = 0, 256, 512
U = 0, 256, 512

Does EA know about this problem?  Why don't they fix it?  Seeing how
F1 2002 is coming out soon, they might just drop support for 2001 and
not fix it at all, I really hope they do something about it before
they move on.

I think you should set all the deadzones on 0 with DXTweak and only
use deadzone options in the games themself.
I do it like this and it works fine. Except in F1 2001, I have to
select single-axis to get rid of the deadzone, but I'm convinced
that's a problem of F1 2001.

You might want to consider using ctfj from www.stickworks.com instead. You
can then create custom profiles for each game. I used DXTweak once and it
screwed up the settings for my other controllers. ctfj is the way to go IMO.
