Excerpt:

"Under the glossy carbon-fibre shell, the tweaks are somewhat more
substantial, and the real surprise is that ISI has gone back to F1 2001's
high class driving model and done the impossible - they've improved it! The
result is a pure peach to drive."

Sounds like F1 2002 is still moving in the right direction.

What about this then:
"With the online multiplayer mode set to be given a considerable hike,
thanks to the addition of GameSpy support, it looks like there's more than
enough on offer to justify adding yet another EA F1 game to your collection.
We'll find out soon enough, but at this rate, the opposition looks destined
never get a look-in. "

Does that mean that multiplayer will be playable with 7-8guys online? :)
*hope so*

Im really looking forward to this title!.

Wow - SEVEN OR POSSIBLY EVEN EIGHT

I'm browning my cacks with e***ment.

Now remind me - how many online drivers can you have in GPL, or N4.

yes but we are not talking about gpl or nascar series.

If f12001 could handle 7-8 it would be a first for a f1 sim.
That is a significant step forward... a company willing to push fia into
better f1 racing online!

Cheers,
Rudkovsky

Yeah, well, as much as I enjoy GPL online, I'd rather play F1 200X with 4
players than GPL with 16 players.

In GPL?, well as soon as a modemuser enters a race, my lag-o-meter rises to
maximum, and as soon as the modemusers goes away, it goes down to almost
zero again.

Good-o. My experience shows that anything more than 3 or 4 players and the
F1 2k1 Multiplayer code falls apart anyway.

I'm not saying GPL or N4 present a worse, equal or better driving experience
than F12001 - what I am saying is that one can not seriously suggest that
multiplayer of up to 8 players is a fantastic feature. It's like celebrating
the fact that a car has a steering wheel. WHOOPY DO - I should ***y hope
so.

Very weird - I have never experienced that. In fact, for important
races I use my 56k6 modem (set to 28k8) instead of my cable connection
for more stable online races.
I think if someone joins the race with a very bad connection, the only
problem you will have is that that person is warping in front of you,
I don't think it influences your lag..

EA's been spewing this "greatly improved online play" hype for several years
now, release after release.  Results speak for themselves.
