Hi
I plan on buying N2, but before I do so can someone please give me their
opinion on it. I am not sure whether to buy N2 or Icr2.
Cheers!

First item: How much horsepower does your machine have? Realistically
speaking, to run either game well, really takes a Pentium based machine.
If your machine is like mine (only a P75), then ICR2 will run smoother
on it. However, I also have N2, and it's "acceptable", though I have
to turn of a bunch of graphic features (which I do miss).
Next item: Which type of racing appeals to you the most? You see the
games, just like their full-size counterparts, are *worlds* apart. In
ICR2, the cars are light feeling and "flickable", very quick and
responsive. And the racing is generally like you see in Indycar, that
is, not a lot of lead changes, or real close racing lap after lap, but
instead indycars demand precise driving skills, and consistancy. So to,
the game. I like the game
Then there's Nascar. Huge difference in the game, as well as real
life. In N2, the cars are big, powerful, and slower in response than
Indycars. However, the simulated racing is much, much closer, and full
of action. (I have come up on wrecks in progress that involved 6-12
cars! Talk about exciting trying to thread your way that kind of
mayhem!)
Boy, as to trying to decide between the two, only you can decide that.
Know what I'd do? If you can swing it, why not get both? Problem
solved!
I'd buy N2. Icr2 has too many letters.

You can read my full discourse in a reply to an earlier post where
someone asks the same thing.
However, this is the plan. Forget ICR2 and go for N2. [Stay with me
long time r.a.s.'ers....]
Now, once you have N2, after a few weeks you will be lusting for full
detail and 30 fps. Now you will need to buy a Rendition/Verite video
card. Hopefully, you will get either Intergraph's or Sierra's card.
Now, the beauty of it all. You will received bundled with these cards,
the best ever Indy Car racing sim ever (ICR2)!
If I was starting out fresh, that's the path I would take...

Damn! your really funny!
I have been racing in Irc2 leagues for nearly a year, and just
installed Nascar 2 this past week. There is no comparing the graphics
between the 2. Nascar2 wins hands down. While my 1st choice of racing will
always be Cart, I look foward to racing in my 1st nascar league. So ther
answer to your question is to buy and enjoy both.
