SBK 2000 force feedback

by Cowl » Fri, 09 Jun 2000 04:00:00

I have heard a few people saying how good the force feedback is in SBK 2000
but I
can't get it to work. My wheel does twitch when I go to the options menu
from a race. It then twitches between the menus but will still not work in
the game. I have had FF on and off so many times and also re-installed the
game but to no effect.

FF works in games such as Rally Championship, F1 2000, GPL and demos such as
Nascar 3 and Beatle crazy cup.

Dx7.0a, Win98 (1st edition), Interact V4fx racing wheel.

Is anyone else having similar difficulties or know of any solutions?

With my Logitech FF wheel, I get almost nothing as far as FF goes.
When using my Logitech FF joystick, however, the FF is impressive. You
can really feel the "g forces" going to the back when you accelerate
and towards the front under braking. Perhaps the lack of noticable
forces with your wheel is does to having no feedback on the y axis.

The Y-axis theory could explain it. You would think they would tell you this
in the manual or a read me if this was the case though. I will e-mail EA
again to see if this is
true. I won't hold my breath though as we all know EA's technical support
has to be one of the worst in the world. I will just have to get a force
feedback joystick now.
