The Windows 95 version of IndyCar Racing II is scheduled to ship in
mid-June. The driving experience of the game is virtually identical to
that on DOS. The big difference is the user interface, and the fact that
it uses DirectDraw and DirectSound to improve the frame rate.

There are some ancillary features that help integrate the game better into
the Windows 95 environment and make it easier for several people to play
IndyCar on the same computer (not at the same time). For example, you can
now have multiple championship seasons going on simultaneously.

Will there be an upgrade path for owners of the DOS version to the Win95
version?  I just purchased the DOS version and would like a Win95
version to get away from DOS.

Rick has replied to this question before, so I will take the liberty of replying for him...there will be a patch of some sort that will convert the DOS version to the WIN95 version FREE of charge!  This I think is pretty cool of them to do, and it will be available via download from their web page and I am sure their BBS as well.
