off- and online series. The offline series kicks off March 7th at Bristol
with the Third Annual Spring Sizzler, a 50-lap affair for N1 Outlaw Late
Models, N2/NR1999 Late Model Stock Cars, and NR1999 Trucks. The offline
series runs on nothing bigger than 3/4 mile, and no race longer than 50
laps except for the All-American 100 at Nashville in October. The online
series will run on TEN on tracks from 1 mile on down (tracks such as
Dover, Rockingham, Phoenix, and Loudon, and all the short tracks).
The offline series allows competitors to set their own opponent
strengths so that they can run up front and not have to worry about
getting beat by the AI. In 1998, we had over 75 cars and drivers score
points in the series. The car sets are made up of competitors' cars so
you get that 'personalized' feeling when you race in the USA Series. We
are currently looking at some sponsors for the series, so look for better
things in 1999 from the 1999 United Shorttrack Alliance.
Our staff increased this season to provide more streamlined service to
our drivers. We've also overhauled the site and uploaded some new files
to be able to race the NR1999 Trucks on several edited tracks such as
those from BB&B.
