I'm just getting back into racing sims, and am e***d to hear of the new
Hawaii multi-player ability. I know it's a beta and still very new, but does
anyone know whether it will be released to the general public? What I'm
talking about is the server application software that makes it all work. I've
ran a mulit-node BBS for awhile, and would like to add MP NASCAR to the list
of games available. The older games such as DOOM, Descent, Heretic, and Rise
of the Triad are still popular, but adding NASCAR to the list would be a great
asset.
Is Papyrus/Sierra going to keep the software and setup it's own dial-in sites,
or will the MP engine be made available? I'm very much interested in the MP
engine software, even if I must buy it as a seperate product.
Finally, is there also going to be some sort of network patch for MP play?
(IE. PC's on a LAN can play head-to-head, not limited to just 2 players.)
Any information anyone may have is greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance,
