You know, knowing this serves as a reminder to all of us...no matter how
realistic a sim can get, no matter how much it draws you in...at the
very, very heart of the matter...it is still a game. (Please no flames
on this. Just hear me out.) I mean, I do believe that sim racing has the
ability to become a sport, but it is still just a bunch of computer
programming lying in your harddrive. We are fortunate that, despite how
big a crash you have with a driver online, that you are both able to
race again with no injury whatsoever (Well, maybe a bruised ego.) and at
the end of the day, you're still able to sit down at the dinner table
and eat with your family.

>Bandini was killed at Monaco in 1967, this was not the only

We choose to live with that danger Allan....however we don't need
people like you constantly shoving it in our faces...thanks to you I
have had to turn my "fire" off...I don't know when I'll regain enough
courage to switch it back on...so please stop reminding us of the
constant danger we GPL drivers face.  |o)

My girlfriend, who gets a bit fed up with my time on this computer GPL'ing,
has devised a clever new tactic.  Wishing to add to the realism--she
says--she stands by my desk with a plastic baseball bat.  When I have an
off, smash into a wall, fence, whatever, I have begun to get smacks upside
the head.

"Realism!" she cries.  "Just like racing!"  "CRACK!"  "POWEE!!"

I do believe she's beginning to enjoy this game more than me . . .

Sounds like fun.  But be sure you draw the line when she gets out the
gasoline and a box of matches.

I didn't realize Schumacher drove an Eagle, but I recognize the tactic!
