Has anyone noticed that when you add more graphic details, your braking
distances get longer??

I have slowed when I added more graphic details..

Anyone care to comment on this??

> Anyone care to comment on this??sure.. This has to do with processor ocupacy.. apparently, there is no

priority set to driving controls. this means that the processor first
builds the roads and the other cars for instance and then gets to the
steering/braking part (i hope you know what i mean..). therefore, as you
continue to keep on pushing the gas (at least, that's what the processor
thinks(paradox?) you miss your braking point, because the reaction time
gets longer...

I believe that I had noticed the opposite effect.

If I head into a corner with other cars in front, then I can brake
later, then if there are not other cars in sight.  Time seems to slow
with the traffic in front of me.

I agree.  I can't brake much later if I'm stuck at the "1st turn
slowdown" & can usually gain many positions (if I want to) by using
this as a cheat feature.
