*** CART FAQ #2 ***

Here's the second FAQ answering the questions we see appearing
about CART Precision Racing.

We are all monitoring the newsgroups and we'll try to answer
all the questions we find.

Keep the comments coming!!!

NOTE: Some of these only apply to the full version,
not the Trial.

*** WINDOW SIZE ADJUSTMENT ***

Use "[" and "]" to adjust window size/frame rate balance

*** DEFAULT GARAGE SETUPS ***

The game defaults to generic (average) <default> garage setups.

Try the included "sample" setup(s) for
better handling (from the garage file dropdown).

Or download other setups from CPR fansites - for example:-

http://www.racesimcentral.net/

http://www.racesimcentral.net/~joja/

Or better still, develop your own!

*** COLLISIONS ***

Car collisions vary according to speed, angle and skill level -
we do not use one "generic" collision routine
- this is why the car responds differently during collisions.

Ever seen a real "predictable" crash?   ;)

*** CD MUSIC VOLUME ***

Use the Win95 volume control to set your CD audio level.

Game will play any audio CD you have in the drive
(make sure you have COMPLETE install to prevent CD swaps).

*** MIRROR ADJUSTMENTS ***

Set your mirror angles up under the miscellaneous tab
in the garage. They work as expected.

*** GRAPHICS UNDER HARDWARE ACCELERATION ***

Make sure you have "Hardware Acceleration" selected
from the "Graphics" dialog and ...

* MAKE SURE YOU ARE RUNNING FULLSCREEN (no menu bar)
* MAKE SURE YOU ARE RUNNING FULLSCREEN (no menu bar)
* MAKE SURE YOU ARE RUNNING FULLSCREEN (no menu bar)

Press F4 a few times if you're not sure.

Acceleration ONLY works in fullscreen!

*** FULLSCREEN REPLAYS ***

Click the ZOOM button to see your stunning win (crash?)
in all its fullscreen glory - essential if you are
using hardware acceleration (see above).
