I think the reason they didn't include the flags is that would
constitute an update in the engine, which means some extra work for
them. If they use an already 'used' engine and only change the car
graphics, they essentially have the same game in different clothes and a
shiny new box. This way they get to cash in on peoples interest in F1
without really having to design a new game...

When it says EA Sports on it, it's pure arcade...

Very cynical. I have the feeling it's going to turn out a lot better than we
think. :-)

Ah I did not know.

I must catalog my SCGT and SBK2000 box with a big shiny "ARCADE" sticker
now.

Wow, what will I do if I don't have stickers? My life is now terminated...

He's right, though.  Virtually every racing game published under the
"EA Sports" label bears little semblance to reality, beyond the driver
names and the graphical appearance o the cars and tracks.   And SCGT,
by the way, is not published under the EA Sports label.

Shall we remind you once again.  Publisher of Superbike 2000, the ultimate bike
sim (as said by me and many others), is EA Sports.

If they did, It was only by chance. How the hell do you simulate a bike
properly anyway?
Does Foggy steer his with a joystick? No. A gamepad? Keyboard cusor keys?
Perhaps not... my point is that while you can simulate cars, because we
*now* have the controllers to let us get the full experience, motorbikes at
speed, you steer with your body weight, which, as far as I know, can't be
replicated with any peripherals currently available. So how do you judge
whether or not its realistic? It's like those playstation owners saying "oh
Gran Turismo is *so* realistic", playing it with their shoddy pads- what the
f**k would they know?
And In reference to earlier comments, the Jane's series of flight "sims" is
only a short hop from the arcade "thrills" of afterburner!
I'm done now, time for my pills.
Thankyou

Here's the reply to your sarcastic answer.

The first motocycle controller for PC... the time is here.

and it was not buy chance.  This was their second attempt, first attempt raised
the bar of bike sims to a new level... and this one raised it even higher.  You
don't even know the sbk series by the sounds of it.  It is wicked.  Nearly
flawless.  And includes the best damn model of laguna seca ever seen in the sim
world.

Wonder how good that is with Motocross Madness.

Does anyone know of anyone that has actually bought and
tried this?
