NFS Porsche Sky Selector: a must have download! Only 3 kb!

by Jeroe » Sun, 23 Apr 2000 04:00:00

Hi there!

I just finished my NFS Porsche Sky Selector. It's great (IMHO) and only 3
kB! You can donwload it from here:
http://www.racesimcentral.net/

Here's the full readme.txt (in case you think 3 kB is too big to download
without more information :):

Need for Speed Porsche - Sky Selector
Jeroen van Engelenhoven

Intro

The files in this zip enable you to use every available sky (inluding the
horizon and the weather) on any track you want. No need to download 'new
tracks', like the New Autobahn from the internet: just do it yourself with
this very small zip and a only few keystrokes!

Installation

(First of all: make sure the files in the GameData\Track\Sky are the
original ones! If you fooled around with them, restore the original files.)

1. Unzip the zip (containing Sky.bat, Step2.bat, Answer.com, this Readme.txt
and a folder called Selector) into the GameData\Track\Sky directory
2. Copy (not move!) all .bin, .fsh and .txt files from the Sky directory
into this Selector directory (or just everything, if you want it the easy
way...)
3. Run Sky.bat from the Sky directory and follow the instructions

That's it!

Eaxmple: if you want the earlier mentioned New Autobahn, start Sky.bat, type
5, Enter, 2, Enter, and your done!

You can use this Sky.bat too when you Alt-Tab or Alt-Esc from the Main Menu.
And of course you can use it to reset all tracks.

Some combinations will look better than others, but this way it is very easy
to experiment. And to reset everything to it's original state if you don't
like it. Have fun!

Yours sincerely,

Jeroen van Engelenhoven

P.S. Please let me know if you've put this on your website!

P.S. Did you know that the files for Monte Carlo are actually named
Monaco?!?

Here ends the Readme.txt. Let me know what you think of it!

Cya,

Jeroen van Engelenhoven
