GPL and gdi32.dll

My brother has a p3-450, in which he's using a 8M Thriller and SB Live
Value.   Recently, he can't launch GPL and gets a gdi32.dll page fault
error.  Any ideas what he can do to fix it?  He's reloaded the game.
Hercules drivers?  Pull the card and let Win redetect it?  Any ideas
would be appreciated.

Going by the version info of that file on my PC it is a
Win95/98 file.
Perhaps you could get a new copy of the file off the Windows
CD.

I guess you've the wrong rasterizer selected in GPL. Since you can't
start GPL to alter the setting, you've to do it yourself. Open
APP.INI, and make the rasterizer SOFTDLL.DLL. After that you can
start GPL, and select the right rasterizer...

Usually when you get a gdi fault it is a driver problem or the monitor
doesn't fit the Video adapter. I had the same fault trying to update to
the Detonator drivers for my TNT. Went back to the old drivers cured this
prob.
