I plan to finally move up to a Pentium class. I want to make sure my
system works best with software such as Nascar 2. I have heard rumors
that Nascar 2 will rely heavily on math. What would be the best
configuration to have to run Nascar 2. I am not asking about a P133
vs. a P166, but cache size, Video Card and other accesories.
I would look into a P133 16 meg min-32 meg IYCAI and a video card with
good dos/win performance. Plan on purchasing either a Verite or Vodoo
in August, if you plan on buying the Verite by a cheap SVGA card off
the bat. Nascar 2 will support these cards and a P133 is all your gonna
need with those cards in it (Actually I'm hearing great news from a
P100 as well!) Be prepared to simply freak when you see a 3D enhanced
version of Nascar 2, screen shots are beautiful. Those 3D boards are
amazing, even better than you think.
If your skeptical on the 3D boards come August you won't be. Buying a
Millineum now would be IMO a waste of $$$. Even Nascar on a 486-66 with
the ole 3D VLB Blaster this game ran fantastic and made the game so
much better than the SVGA version. This I have seen and used.
