Subject:        5 leagues

Don

Here are the 5 leagues I came up with.

-----------------

These are not my official plans, but very close to the mark depending on some of the other league
directorsthat I have not contacted yet.

 5 different races total

 1.  10% sprint race.

No cars (you are the only car), 10% race distance, no yellows, pace on, damage on,  Weather TBD.  This isopen
to all racers.  Race to be run every other week.  Not all tracks used.  Race average is winner. Qualifing no
t needed.  Time limit good idea.  Tracks used are: Tall, Mich, Atl, Char, Bris, Dover, Dar, Rock.  Subject
tochange.

 2.  100% full realism race.

20 cars (some players want to race this but have weak systems),  100% race distance, flags on, damage
on,Weather TBD, opps TBD, drivers text file consistant for whole season.  Races due at noon est of  actual
race(or 1
week after actual race).  All race settings will be posted for entire season prior to begining of season.
Race must be turned in in order.  This will allow vacationing racers a chances to  complete their race weeksor
m
onths ahead of time.  Race winner is  based on laps completed, finishing position, race average.
(PleasePapyrus, fixed the yellow flag bug!!!)  No time limit for race.  No race saves allowed.  Race open to
alldrivers.

A driver may enter only 1 of the following leagues!  No race saves allowed in any league.

 3.  No pitstop race. Less than half an hour

20 cars, 10 to 25% race distance, damage on, yellow TBD, Pace on, weather TBD, opps 1 to 2% weaker than
2pitstop league.  Races held every other week, not all tracks used.  Fastest race average wins.

 4.  1 pitstop race.  Less than 1 hour

20 cars, 20 to 50% race distance, damage on, yellow TBD, pace on, weather TBD, opps = or 1% weaker than
2pitstop league. Races held every other week, all tracks used once.  Race at same track as 2 pitstop leauge.
Faste
st race average wins.

 5.  2 pitstop league.  Less than 1 1/2 hours

20 cars, 40 to 75% race distance, damage on, yellow TBD, pace on, weather TBD, opps 98 to 102% (likly
100%most times).  Races held every other week, all tracks used once.  Fastest race average wins.

I'm not for a timed race event, however if the majority of the racers want it, I will go for it.  If a
driverwishes to restart the race, I don't feel he should have to waste his time restarting the IVGA software
just to
reset the clock.  People will restart.  Don't make it tougher on them. I often pause my races for minutes
tohours at a time while I watch the kids and TV and ect.....  My time would run out.

The 3 leagues listed last would all use the same drivers2.txt file.  The  file is subject to change on
aweekly basis, however I do not want to change it weekly (optional).

I will provide a race schedule for the next season shortly.  Don's schedule he posted will be very simular
tothe 100% league.  The 3 major league will try to mock the regular season as best as possible.  I might not
be
able to hit the track the first time it comes around  but should get it the second time.

I would like to run a fun event in late July, early Aug.  Talladega without the restrictor plate for all
5race division!

I hope to determine the weather setting for the whole season ahead of time to make life easy on you and
theleague directors.  Possibly the drivers text file can be set in stone ahead of time also.

I currently have the division broken up by time it takes to run the race.  I find it difficult to break
thedivision by skill because you or I could easily jump in the no pitstop league and mop up.  There will
bedrivers
that do that and there's not much we can do to stop them.  Don has told me that an hour and fif*** minuterace
is too much for him if he has to run it several times to get a yellow free race (like at Atlanta,Michigan, T
alladega, ect...).  So a good driver with not a lot of time may be forced into a weaker division because
oftime, not skill.

The last 3 league division will be set so that everyone should be able to qualify on the pole.  The 2
pitstopleague may have a harder time, but it can be done.  I don't want all drivers starting mid or back of
pack. Eve
n though it's really racing for you and I, it will detour other drivers that are not as skilled.

I would like to set the scoring based on 1. laps completed 2. finishing position. 3 race average 4.
qualifingspeed.  Most laps led would get 5 bonus points.  Leading a lap would give you 5 bonus points.
However, if the
yellow flag bug is not fixed, then 1. laps completed 2. race average 3. qualifing speed.  Most laps led
wouldget 5 bonus points.  Leading a lap would give you 5 bonus points.
