The main bottlenck I see in your system is the processor at this point. The
rule of thumb is to upgrade when processors are out that are at least twice
the clock speed. Seeing as how 1.8, 2.0+ Ghz CPUs are out, sadly that means
that 733Mhz CPU is *old and slow* now, sorry.
A lot also may depend on how much you have turned on within the sim in the
graphics settings. You should definitely only run in 16bit color, even with
a GF4 given your CPU bottleneck. Make sure your 'sounds heard' is cranked
down to the minimum (8 I think). I'm also sure I would not try to run FSAA
with that slow a CPU, even if your video should/can run well with it
activated. Also, the fastest API to use for most folks is OpenGL. Try both
it and the D3D and see if one makes a difference.
