Yes, I would find it hard to recommend MTM2 now.

I would say to him though to keep an eye on any new titles from TRI and
Papyrus. Specifically N4. I said in another thread that I have no interest
in NASCAR, but I'm sure I'll pick up a copy of N4 out of curiosity. I bet
that online racing with a sim like N4 could be really excellent. I'm just
not interested in the real life NASCAR series.

Ok good ;)

It's just a matter of time before the tide is turning.  I do hope, even if
it's a little utopian, that the majority of 2000 racing simulator will be
quality.  Whatever TRI offers, WSC, any Papyrus title with the new game
engine (that one can't fail I say), GP3, and probably the couple of
unexpected hits "a la DTR".

But meanwhile, I say that shelving 15$ while waiting those months for GPL is
a ***y good thing, especially when you'll start importing GPL tracks into
N4.  Don't tell me David you wouldn't like to drive SPA or the RING with a
stock-car? ;)

I don't like stock cars but you're right, the thought of racing them on Spa
or the Ring could make for some excellent, close, fun, online racing.

So when is N4 supposed to be released?

Spa *maybe*.  The Ring?  No way - I have enough problems with the Ferrari...<g>
