If I get a Voodoo3 PCI (not AGP I don't have one), does anyone know if
it would be possible to continue using my Matrox Millenium II card for
2D?

No its not possible but the 2D of the V3 is probably better

Why?

The Voodoo 3 has combined 2d/3d on one chip...
