Some of us have been complaining about this for many, many months. It is
simply a bad design. Turn up the master volume in your Windows until it
blasts you out of the room and then when you go into NR1999 everything will
act like it did in N2 without doing that. (Just remember to lower the
volume before doing anything else when you are done with NR1999.)
