Thurstmaster has come out with a Grand Prix 2 that has buttons mounted
on the wheel.... but you can go to a web site called
http://www.mouser.com and look at various switches you might be able
to apply.

Instead of buttons I used microswitches (can be found at RadioShack).
They require very little pressure to change gears, and make a nice
click sound. I can go from 6th to 1st very quickly...
They are placed just at the right spot to use the middle finger
while still holding the wheel firmly.
Now if only I could get Nascar2 to recognize my pedals!

Yes, Thrustmaster have a Wheel called Gran Prix 1 gear shifts and pedals
are on the wheel. Can be bought in Toronto for $ 120 Canadian or $ 80 us.
