GPL Re-sizing Window

by KCDC » Wed, 09 Dec 1998 04:00:00

All of a sudden, GPL is re-sizing my Netscape window. When I quit out of GPL
now, Netscape (or any other app I open after for that matter) will only fill
half my screen. I run 1024x768 for desk top, and 800 x 640 or whatever it
is, for GPL.

It didn't used to do this, and it is annoying. I have to re-start to get
full use of my desk top again. I've also noticed that an enlarged view of my
desk top flashes up now when GPL starts, and the "Preparing Toolbar" box
flashes despite the toolbar being already running. It didn't used to do that
either.

Any ideas what I've screwed up, and how I could fix it?

Thanks,

I've had the same thing - surprised you have to restart to cure it..... I
also had it showing weid screen sizes in GPL when trying to run above
640x480  - but then I am running a Riva TNT with the beta openGL so its
prolly a bit flaky still!

GPL always resets my refresh rate down to 75Hz.  Maybe that's what is
happening to you also, as it will affect "screen size" indirectly.

My desk top size actually remains  the same - Applications for some reason
will only fill the left half of my screen. The cursor will go on the right
side. But I can't expand the application windows over there, either by
dragging or clicking the full window button.

KC, I've been having the same problem but had not narrowed it down to
GPL.......let's hope we get a  fix as it's very annoying!
