GP MANAGER bug- Again!!

by pill.. » Mon, 12 Feb 1996 04:00:00

The Computer chooses a new driver for my team. When my current
driver's contract expires, guess what? the 'NEW' contract driver has
vanished as well (much like my patience). I then have to find my team
a new driver(by now all the good ones have gone)

Wish List.

Wouldn't it be great if MICROPROSE combined GPM & F1GP2. We could then
have the option of driving the cars ourselfs!!!
(maybe in F1GP3!! Should be out in 2099, at this rate.)

You are lucky, because that is the idea of these two games, and F1GP2 will
be linkable with GP-manager, at least microprose says so :)

Who told you that then?? In the early days a link-up was thought about
but I was told that the job was far too difficult (Geoff having to go and
create 4 more tracks and code then link from his side and then have the
other author do a job on his game to make the link and export
sponsor/driver/car data to GP2). This was clearly a large job and may
have worked if one team did both games...
A missed opportunity maybe... hopefully they'll do it next time.
Mind you I guess if they get bored they might try it.
Personally though, I say how often do you see a team manager drive is
car? Lets keep the realism gents and ladies!
