Yes, I have fears of floods of mods. Quality control could be one
factor - working out what mod to actually drive with could become a
nightmare! :)

Not the same with tracks though - the more the better imo - this is key
to longevity if you ask me.

Eh.  Within a month of the sim coming out, there will be 50 mods
announced.  Of those 50, about 10 will ever see completion, most of
them in 1-2 years.  Of those 10, maybe 3 of them will manage to attain
even mediocrity, and if you're lucky 1 of them will be worth spending
any considerable amount of time driving.

Jason, you are without doubt, the biggest Papy fan boy I have ever seen :-)

There will be AT LEAST two high quality modern F1 mods, an F2 mod, and the
Pits will have an extremely high quality mod released soon after rFactor is
ready for download.

That's four........

That's odd because my favorite sim isn't made by Papy. :p

I'll rejoice and buy it when it's actually released.

> I'll rejoice and buy it when it's actually released.

My reason for pre-paying is that with an online release there's no end
of potential for delays and problems in the initial post-release rush.
Of course if you plan to be patient and wait a week or two until the
dust settles, you'll avoid any initial issues. I just think half the fun
of a new sim is being there right at the start exploring the new
experience, especially with something as promising as this.

Do you HAVE to pay via PayPal ?

Seems like an odd way to pay a major developer.

No, you can pay with CC/bank card when it's available. I did it so I have my
unlock code in front of me the SECOND the download finishes.

I'm 5 1/2 years old. :-)
