I have recently been given the opportunity to review both of these wheels,
and for a while I had them connected to separate PC's side by side. We did
this so that we could race "head to head", pause the Sim and then try the
other wheel. Both myself and my co-reviewer felt that the Microsoft
Sidewinder had a slightly more direct feel, but other that that, there was
not too much between these two wheels other than the price.
The Microsoft Wheel has a few extra buttons on the wheel, and feels more
robust, whereas the Saitek feels a bit "plasticky". At the end of the day it
is a matter of personal choice and budget !!!
We also reviewed the standard Saitek Wheel, which was only different to the
FF one in that it lacked FF, otherwise exactly the same.
