If DMA is working for you, you don't need it. I think it requires
DOS4GW, which may have not been included in the zip you downloaded.

The copy I downloaded did not have DOS4GW included. After seeing the
errors, I stuck it in the same directory and it worked well. And it also
told me the ' DMA access sucks on this computer ', something that we all
love to hear... :-)
DMADiag is designed to help resync the video display when you
reboot to a DOS session to play ICR2-3D. If you ca get indyfast
to work without it, then you don't need to run DMADiag.exe.
As for why it fails, what is the message you get?

Sounds like you need a bios upgrade. I was getting the same message,
and I found a bios upgrade for my MB on the web. Now my DMA access
doesn't suck anymore, and it greatly improved my N2 rendition
performance :).
