Jeez, Dave; you really ARE a blasphemer!  ;-)

The thing I like the most about the NR2003 tires is not the absolute grip
level, but how they feel at the edge of it.  You can feel 'em load up as you
near peak lateral grip and then let go when you overcook it, which makes
dancing on the edge even more dramatic than with previous Papy sims.  Their
earlier tire models had a much smoother transition from grippin' to
slippin' - thus the fabled "driving on ice" feel.

As for GPL, no doubt it's best to leave the '67's alone; but it'll be
interesting to see what the upcoming mods do with the tires.  One can only
hope the relevant "code weasels" might dig into NR2003 for some insight into
limit behavior in their tires.

"Steve Blankenship"
After I went to work that post popped back into the old head for a moment
or two.  I had one of those bright lightbulbs go off.  IF they increased
the grip levels, would that deter the sliding that the GPL faithful find so
fun?

Well heck no, they'd just slide FASTER.  ;-)

The thing that might, absent tire wear, is a change in how the lateral grip
responds to slip angle and load.

Careful with that lightbulb; those things can get hot!

Aw, HELL...I forgot about the invite list.  I gotta start a list of driver
IDs...  Thanks for the reminder!
I'm taking the list off John's webpage so all interested drivers need to make
SURE that name is correct.

Eldred - getting OLD...
p.s. John, my ID will be epickett again - thanks.

Yes John. Always has been for strange reasons ;)

I use that id for nearly everything and when I first tried Neil_C on one
service years ago it said ID already in use. Undaunted I added the second
underscore and that's been me ever since: RASCAR, FFRL, HOG, MOG, MSIM,
Online Bank Account, Eldred Fan Club, .........

Sorry if it causes confusion
