Thanks for the encouragement John, the historic feel is probably more due to
my age than anything else<vbg>. It's good to be able to give back a bit to
this group, many here have been quite helpful over the years.
About the Indy cover, Bruce put that one up, but I believe the format of the
book itself is the reason that it does not fill the page. It wouldn't be
difficult to convert to a .tga file and stretch to fit with software, but it
may look pretty strange. I'll give it a shot. I remember that cover from
when I was a kid. My stepdad got hold of that program somehow and I must
have read it a thousand times. Indy seemed so far from California at the
time....
I'll be working at the LBGP next week, so GPL is going to have to go on the
back burner for a while. I also need to find a good online source for track
maps and logos. most of the tracks have websites, but they only show the
updated, sanitized versions of the tracks. The CART Racing manual has maps
also, they are pretty boring but they work. I would encourage everyone to
try making some program pages for themselves, I've had a lot of fun going
through old race programmes and magazines, looking for scanable images.
