Has anyone out there tried to crack into the car paint jobs in Rac
Rally Championship? It would be really nice to change the bland paint on
some of the cars. Would also be cool to do new wheels.

I started to look at this, but did not get very far before being
distracted on to other projects.
The files look very 'bitmappy' and not encrypted like on GP2.
It's easy to 'fill' sections of the file with the same
charcater and see what changes on the cars. This gives an
idea on the file's format, but to do a proper job you will still
probably have to do a lot of work running the program in a de***
to find out what's what. The bitmaps will then need converting
to a 'standard' form so they can be edited and then converted back.
I don't think it's too big a job but I do not have the time to do it
at the moment. Is anybody out there interested in it as a project?
