4.3 gigs, 33.6 modem, 24X CD-ROM

I want to buy the Hercules Thriller 3D 8mb PCI card for ICR2 rendition. Howver
I also want to buy a 3dfx/Voodoo 2 card for NHL 98, 99, 2000

will those two cards behave with each other?
Please answer ASAP as I really wanna play ICR2 rendition.

for those who don't know the difference between a regular game and the
rendition version of ICR2  (Indycar Racing II/Cart)  check out this page

Also, for Games such as GPL that use both 3DFX and Rendition, will there be any
problems if both hardware items are installed in the cpu?

They are seperate .exe's; you won't have any problem (at least with THAT
aspect...).

I have the AGP Herc & Voodoo2. They work just fine. But I doubt that you will
get the full benefit of the Voodoo2 with a P133.

Well I would be moving all this into the new cpu I will buy before shipping off
to college, I  just can not live another day playing  ICR2 in vga mode. After
seeing all of the ICR2 rendition screen shots, I may have to also buy a new
keyboard from the drool all over it.

Also, ICR2/CART has some incompatabilities with the Rendition V2x00
chipset.  Mostly, if you drive with the in-car view, your mirrors
won't work. :(

If ICR2/CART is really your thing, I'd recommend a V1000 card
(Intergraph Reactor/Intense3D100, Sierra Screamin' 3D, Creative Labs
3D Blaster PCI, or Canopus Pure3d(?) ).  But I wouldn't pay over $50
for one.  Good luck.

With a faster computer you can run in SVGA mode with
ALL details at ~30fps.

Run ICR2 with the -h option like this:  indycar.exe -h

Jason.

I have a v-rptor v2200 rendition chip card and a voodoo2 12meg 3dfx card. they
coesits fine. I play the rendition enhanced version of ICR2 and it is
wonderful.  I use the rendition and voodoo 3D versions of both Nr1999 and GPl.
I like the rendition graphics and frame rates slightly better. I have  p166mmx
with 64megs ram .  I also play NHL99 with the 3dfx mode. it runs well with the
latest drivers.

Great news folks. I just purchased the Hercules Thriller 3D 8mb pci for $100 at
the Hercules website. I am now ready for years of trouble, headaches, and bad
drivers. But on the negative side I will benjoying games the way there were
meant to be. I think.
Thanx for all ya help.
