NFS4 - My opinion....

by Alie » Sun, 13 Jun 1999 04:00:00

Well, I basically think it's a great game (I have the full), the graphcics
are awesome, the cars are generally well done, although some look rather
odd, and the tracks are really fun... I didn't think EA could make the Chase
fun again, I really got bored of it in NFS3, but now, playing NFS4 doesn't
feel like coming back to NFS3. The damage effects are not all that great,
but they look pretty cool.. My only complaint is that the headlights blow
out way too easily... I really hate driving at night 3 and 3/4 laps with no
headlights... They even blow out after running over a streetsign... Well,
good thing you can turn damage off... Also I think that the addition of a
chopper is a neat idea, but it doesn't help catch the bad guys... It just
flies around talking to the cops... Anyway, the game is loads of fun, and
with the addition of NFS3 tracks, there's even more fun to go around.. For
some reason, I actually find it *fun* to race on those NFS3 tracks after I
got sick of NFS3... I also posted some screenshots at drive.to/nfs4...
Anyway, post your opinions on the game hehe... It'd be interesting to see
what other people think..

Well.. It may be realistic, but I still think EA went too far.. Every other
aspect of the  game is unrealistic, why do they have to make the headlights
realistic... But I admit that the car is still drivable even at night with
no headlights, in most areas you can see the road, however in some parts,
such as the forest in Celtic Ruins, or Route Adonf (can't remember which one
it is) you can't see anything...

Perhaps you could let us know which simulator you are speaking of?

Hi!
Are the Nfs3 tracks in the game from beginning or did you add them anyway?

The NFS3 tracks are included in NFS4 as a -normal- feature, PLUS
it has the new tracks. Pretty fun game, if ya ask me..  :)

I agree....great game (and I've played every one of 'em, with the
exception of NFS Rally).

I'm glad that the NFS 3 tracks are in there, but what I'd really
like to see are the tracks from the original version (City, Alpine,
etc.).  Trying to get the Lambo up to 202.3 in Freeway traffic was
always a hit-or-miss affair...
