Hi Dennis,

Yeah, these are great ... or so I'm lead to believe.  I'm fairly sure that Alison Hine has one and thinks its great, I know that Chris and Tony West (WSC chaps) have one and absolutely love it. :o)

Cheers,
Paul T

'TFS2' TACTILE FEEDBACK SYSTEM

Actually, David, this product has yet to be released, at least according to an e-mail I received from the owner of the company three weeks ago, as well as from what is published on their site. The original product (version 1.0) may be "ancient history" as you put it, but that is not what I was asking about.

'TFS2' TACTILE FEEDBACK SYSTEM

Thanks, Paul. Looks like it would be a great addition to a PC-based system, especially with games specifically written with iVibe, but I'm wondering how well it would work with non-iVibe games or with console games? Guess there's just one way to find out - I'll have to buy one.

The alternative I'm looking at is adding bass shakers under the seat of my sim, but not only does the iVibe product seem to be a better idea, it also won't keep my wife up if I'm racing late at night.

I have a set of bass shakers mounted to my seat. They work but make sure you understand that  they  are 25 watt  devices. I didn't have a 25w power amp so I hooked em up to an old 100w Carvin powered mixer I had laying around. They got a little hot. So you might look into grabbing an old receiver or power amp at a garage sale. They make a bit of noise but not near as much as a speaker would.  Got mine at parts-express.com for about 30bucks a pair, I think.
