ICR2 Win95 Question

by Chris Cavi » Tue, 02 Jul 1996 04:00:00

A question for one of you who have purchased the Win95 version of
ICR2.  Does the game run in a pure DOS environment?  If so, does
it run as fast in the DOS environment as the DOS only version?
I know that the frame rate takes a hit when running in Win95, so
even if I had the Win95 version I probably would still run in DOS,
but I'm wondering if it is worth upgrading to the Win95 version.

Thanks,

-Dirt-

The DOS version does.  The Win95 is a real Win95 app.

version?>>

The Win95 has been observed to be slower than the DOS version on my system
(a Pentium 133, Diamond S64 2mg VRAM, SB AWE 32).  Rendition needed :)

Um....really good question.  Its got a nice new windows based front end, a
windows-based paintshop, a nicer replay, long file names, much nicer
garage setup screen, and is overall a much nicer Win95 product, except for
the actual sim... :(
