ICR2 for Win95 and Direct3D Hardware Performance Voodoo Verite

OK Guys, I'm reading about loads of people enjoying their newly shipped
Orchicid Righteous 3DFX cards and Creative Blaster PCI Verite's about to
ship.

How about the performance of ICR2 in Win95.  Since the cards have Direct3D
support, the game should then use the hardware Direct3D acceleration.  What
sort of frame rates do you get? In theory it could be much faster than in
DOS.

I'm running a Stealth64 P100/430HX and need to know if a 3d card or CPU is
the way to go urgently!
Rob.

Since the Win95 version of ICR2 is not coded for Direct3D acceleration
you won't see an benefit.  I am assuming, but could be wrong that the
Rendition version will be DOS based and will only work on Verite boards.
