Yeah, that's most likely.
If you still have a driver package from Diamond around, you could
open it in Winzip and check for the files it's installing. Then you
can search for these files on your Windows and delete them.
After that reinstall the 3dfx drivers just to be sure.

Good idea Jan, I'll try that immediately when I get home from work.
I'll let you know the results.

Jan, I deleted all the diamond software, deleted all registry entries,
reinstalled the 3dfx drivers, but then I still have the 4.11 drivers..
any idea?

Yup, there's a .txt file in the 3dfx folder which conferms the 4.12
version. For some reason it doesn't overwrite my 4.11 version...

Andre,

I followed your instructions.  My Voodoo2 driver is 3dfxV2.drv and the version is
4.11.01.0441

The funny thing is that it says that it's a DirectX 6 driver, while under the tab for
System. it says that I have DirectX7 installed.

Something might not be exactly right, but I don't careas long as it works.

Hope this helps you.

Same as me. Someone else posted me that he did have the 4.12 version
(which I don't get even after reinstalling everything completely,
still 4.11) but GP3 also doesn't reckognize his V2 card. So I guess
the version number isn't the cause after all.

Yup, that's weird :) I have DX7a installed, and under system it also
says correctly DX7.

I can imagine that :)

Uhh... no, but thanks anyway :)
