Not going to happen, there's a limit in N2002 as to how long a track can
be, the exact number escapes me, but it's either 5 or 6 miles, that is
unless David Noonan or some of the other wizards out there comes up with
something clever, AFAIK David has already tried as he knew this request
would come up ...... if nobody else had asked for it, I would have :-)

This is the current state of things though, whether this limit is
actually in the game engine, or it happens because of the way the tracks
are converted/made, I don't know, so things *may* change, just don't
hold your breath

Sorry, not going to happen, my friend. As I understand it from those
who know these things, NR2002 has a limit as to the overall length of
a single track and it's about 5miles, give or take. This also means
that Spa is out. This question/request has come up several times on
The Pits and Papy boards and each time that is the answer. It's too
bad, but doesn't look good.

I'd like to see Monaco for Nr2002 as well as some of the other GPL
circuits. Also some of the existing tracks, but edited. The banked
Indy is a nice addtion, if you dont' have it. Flat Talladega is a real
challenge too. I hear a banked Watkins Glen is in the works.

A nice GUI based track editor would be the ultimate, but I sense that
track creation is well beyond the normal users abilities. I remember a
game for the old Commodore 64 that was similar to stadium racing with
trucks (Destruction Derby??) and it had the BEST track editor I ever
recall. So simple to use.

Why would you want such a useless track for N2002??
I mean it's utterly useless even for GPL!

That, I think, is purely a matter of personal preference :-)

No it's not, some things in life is dead certain, like death and taxes
and stuff, and to that you can add that Monaco sucks :-)

Hmm...is it a square area issue, or linear track distance issue?  If you

installed an infield road course section in Zenjoltis, for example (which
currently measures just a hair under 5 miles), would the program then
time out as you indicate?

I'm not sure, but if memory serves me right, it's linear track length
they're talking about, so in your example, yes, the track would then be
too long

Please take this fwiw, I know *nothing* about the subject myself and
only pass along info that I've seen being passed back and forth between
some of the guys, and I probably don't get to see *all* relevant info,
just the Reader's Digest version :-)

I'm almost sure Papy did that on purpose.

Pffft, if you ask me, Monaco is nothing but a glorified go-kart track
