According to Microprose/Spectrum-Holobyte, Grand Prix 2 will be
displayed or demoed at the E3 convention in Los Angeles this weekend!
I read this info on their new releases page:

Well it was there, and the sales guy says late summer. I asked him
when does fall start, and he said that he thought that was August.

Most of the reasons he cited for the delay were changes made after
input from SH in the US. Apparently they 'needed' the crashes and
progressive damage to sell it in the states.

Having said that, it looked a lot better (in SVGA) than it did at ECTS
in London last month. Frame rate looked good, play seemed even better
(there was a queue and I had limited time 8( ). They were running on a
P166 though, and I'm pretty sure the machines I saw at ECTS were only
133.

Anyone else get any other info?

That's surprising, because the E3 and ECTS versions were identical!! The
difference in frame rate would be due to a P-133 (ECTS) compared to a P-
166 (E3), and possibly different graphical options or machine
configuration (BIOS settings, video card etc).
