This is a great shame. It's such a tragedy when a person loses thier
life whether in motor sports or otherwise. But for it to happen in
practice is a double tragedy in my opinion. I've heard (rpm2night) that he
was off the pace and only running 208 (previous lap or turn 1 entry/exit?)
when he spun into the wall.
From what I heard the "tire as cause" had not been confirmed only that
the tire was shredded when retrieved and that and official investigation
was beginning.
Will they leave the pole empty on race day for Pace/Yellow laps? I think
that would be a good tribute to him.
