The loss of Scott caught us all. He was a 'homeboy' to me here in
Michigan. His passing was even felt by my wife, and you know how much she
could dislike racing. The Indy split gave me concern, I now have sorrow.

The tragic loss of Scott Brayton will hit everyone hard in the world of
proffesional motor racing. He was an outstanding competitor but at least
he died doing the one thing he enjoyed most. Still it is a trajic loss to
the sport. My best wishes go to all his family and friends and his many
fans throughout the world.
Long Live Scott Brayton :-(

I got this quote off the AP news service on 5/10/96 before Scott died. It seems that Tony George has not regard for human life. This death
is very sad., but it didn't have to happen. OUt
Long live the U.S. 500 the real cars and the real stars. Sunday MAy 26 2pm eastern ESPN.

Another Fabulous WHINE by Andretti.....the old equipment worked
before....you remeber Mikey...YOU USED IT!!!! Luck is worthless....real
drivers use instict and training...luck is used for those victory
speeches....Andretti and the rest of CART knows that Indy is perfectly
safe....and the WANT to be there, oh yessss they would LOVE to be there,
but they have to stay loyal to their sponsors, or else....

I'm sure we all regret the loss of Scott Brayton, and expressing those
sentiments seems appropriate in this newsgroup. But the arguments on whose
at fault will likely continue for years to come, and have no business here,
unless you can figure out some way to link them into simulators. Please
move that discussion over to rec.autos.sports.indy.
