: Hello Mr Genter,

: The 'bugs' in ICR2 are unbelievable!   If I cannot race without this
: yellow flag bug then the game is useless to me.   It is unplayable!
: I have wasted my money.

I have used the first month & half setting up and learning each track.
During this period I could live with this bug (I don't like it, just
live with it).  However, I bought the game to RACE.  I just can't do
that with this yellow flag bug.

: I have read one of your replies where you stated that Papyrus will be
: producing a patch once the Win95 and MAC versions of ICR2 have been
: completed.   This Sir, is just plain unacceptable.   Features people
: would have liked that have been omitted is one thing but if your
: product does not work then it is Papyrus' responsibility to make it
: work.

It is only right that we receive a patch as soon as possible.  We who
bought the DOS version of the game are financing the development of the
Win/MAC version, we deserve something in return.  Papyrus, please give
us the racing simulation we paid for and release an interim fix.
Release it on the net & the paid services.  You can wait for the final
fix to incur the costs of shipping it out to people who can't find in on
a BBS or the net.

I have exerienced the same problem, and I am sure its a bug. Any way,
if you make sure you pass the start / finishline BEFORE you enter the
pit, the problem should be lost, but I guess you`ll lose some time any
way!?!

Hello Mr Genter,

I was racing today at Surfers Paradise in ICR2 when I was second and
about 7 seconds behind Car #1.   Out came a yellow with 12 laps to go.
As I approached the pits Mr Unser turned in and so did I.   I
requested 20 gallons and 4 tyres in an effort to beat him out.   Being
successful in this I proceeded out of pit lane to be greeted by the
message "stay behind car #8".   Here I was; in the lead and being told
to get behind the last car still running.   I stopped at the start of
the back straight to await car #8 but alas, all the cars stopped as
well.   Neither car #8 nor the pace car could get by.   What a farce.

Herein lies the problem.

When ICR1 came out with its "not so smart' AI I was happy to put up
with it because the game was ground breaking and getting everything
right first go would have been unlikely.   I raced with damage off and
was happy.

When NASCAR Racing came out you (Papyrus) applied what you had learned
and produced an even better simulation.   I love it.

The 'bugs' in ICR2 are unbelievable!   If I cannot race without this
yellow flag bug then the game is useless to me.   It is unplayable!
I have wasted my money.

work.

I am dumbfounded to see, in the manual, credits for 16 people under
the heading - "Quality Assurance".

Yours Faithfully,

Craig Hopkins

I believe what I said was that we'll certainly patch it *by* then. There
may be an earlier patch. There may not.

It doesn't seem to have anything to do with whether you have passed the
start/finish line.  It depends on whether any driver ahead of you pits.
If they don't pit (or you are in the lead) no penalty/bug.  If they pit,
forget it.

Also had an instance at Loudon where I had to wait for a car on a yellow
(didn't pit), but this car was sitting behind a pile up.  I was in 4th,
but while I was parked at the start/finish waiting for them to get going
the rest of the field continued to parade on by.  Another instance was
coming out of the pits (only one who pitted on the yellow -- so it was
safe) and follow the gang in front of me around the track.  Looked at my
time behind the leader (still on the lead lap) and saw that I was almost
a full lap behind.  Took a look at the replay and there is a line of
cars ahead of the pace car and an another whole pack behind the pace
car.  Needless to say when the green flag dropped I was "screwed".
