F1 2000: braking is way too sensitive. Am I the only one?

I'm having a very hard time controlling the braking. I barely touch
the brake pedal (about 10% pressed), the wheels lock up and I lose
control. I get this problem regardless of the speed.
Here is my config:
* MS FF wheel
* All aids off
* separate axis for gas / brake
* Game controller sensitivity: 64%, speed sensitivity: 64%. Dead zone =
8%.
I tried the following but NOTHING fixed the braking:
* Combined axis
* Brake repartition ([ / ]). Different garage settings.
* Recalibrate my wheel (remove it from the game panel, add it back,
then power the wheel)
* I even tried utilities like DXTweak and CTFJ from www.stickworks.com
but the braking still does not feel right at all.
* Changed the controller sensitivity up and down (in F12K setup page).
Turning was a lot less sharp and the braking was still way off.
That's driving me crazy, because I find the handling of the car
fantastic (i.e. way better than MGPR2) but the braking spoils
everything.
Am I the only one to experience this problem or is the braking way
overdone in F1 2000?
Please advise..Thx!

See previous post on this.  'Wheels locking too easily' I think.

Set it to the following

Contoller:   50%

Speed :  10%

Deadzone -  0%

Brake bias -  46:54

Shoud fix it

And btw...

Yes it is sensitive.. the technique is TOTALLY different to GPL

You have to hit the brakes as hard as you can at high speed, then slow back
off the pedal as your speed slows down.

This is due tothe downforce.  At high speed is is litterally impossible to
lock the wheel because of the amount of grip being generated by the wings.
As your speed slows, you have less grip there fore you need to use less
brakes.

you will actually lock the brakes less if you brake harder at the start of
your deceleration...

try it

Also, try a suggestion sent to me recently. 'In your F12K directory go to
season00\vehicles you will see a file named default.vhs.  Open this with any
text editor (notepad) and scroll down till you see Controls header then look
for Braking_Ratio=(9220.2) or
close to this and reduce to 6000 or so then save.  go back into game and try
it to see if its to your liking.  Adjust as nessasary to suit.'
