Performance manager bug

by Michael Bar » Sat, 26 Oct 1996 04:00:00

I have a weird problem using perf man for GP2.  I just installed a
Rendition Verite card, and it works great for Icr2 3d and gp2.  But I
had some problems with another program, and then Gp2 would not load.
The introduction runs fine, but when the main screen starts to come up
it crashes right after "please wait".  I get a message that says "out of
memory".  That's it!  This happens both in DOS and win95.  I reinstalled
gp2.exe, and it ran fine again.  Then when I used perf man, the same
problem!  Perf man worked fine before.
I have downloaded the latest version again, and it crashes Gp2 the same
way.  I have noticed some weird stuff with perf man.  For instance, the
first Ferrari driver is listed as Ferrari #155, not # 27, and his values
are set to 0!  I change them, but the game crashes!
I'm really at a loss.  This version of Perf man worked fine before, but
now it seems to corrupt gp2.exe.  I need some help!

Mike

PS - The game that screwed my system up was "Hellbender" that came with
my Reactor 3d.
