Help ! Diamond Fusion & Sierra Nascar1999 won't work

hi i have installed a diamond fusion pci, and nascar1999 (running out of win98)
 won't work, i get mouse trails all over the screen and then kind of a
blinking, flashing screen. when i installed i chose use windows 3dfx drivers.

i have tried the diamond drivers and also downloaded and tried the drivers from
3dfx, same problem. can someone help me? the only other game i play is Burnout
PCE drag racing and it workes fine with diamond or 3dfx drivers.

I'm new to 3dfx so any advice you can give me will help. my machine
