Help N1999 and Diamond Fusion 3dfx problem

hi i have installed sierra's nascar 1999 and during the install selected to use
the Windows 3dfx drivers. i am running win 98 on a pent. 133 w/ 64mb.

when the game comes up i have trails following the mouse and then the screen
starts flashing. can anyone tell me how to fix this.

my fusion card has latest bios, i have tried the diamond drivers, and the
drivers i downloaded from 3dfx. same problem.....
